Privacy Notice for Websites Visitors

The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) maintains https://seis.pids.gov.ph, a databases that PIDS maintains as part of its policy research strategy and mandate as a repository of economic research information. 

Personal Information

Your personal information may be supplied by you or collected from you as a result of your access to or use of the SEIS website.  The website itself does not collect personal data that would identify a specific individual. However, we collect the following personal information from you when you manually (via phone call or walk-in) or electronically (via e-mail) submit to us your inquiries or requests.

Use, Storage and Retention

The collected personal information is utilized solely for documentation and processing purposes within the PIDS and is not shared with any outside parties.

Only authorized PIDS personnel has access to your personal information. The collected information will be stored in PIDS’ server and/or storage center and will be retained only for such period as necessary to achieve the declared purpose for its collection. Thereafter, it shall be disposed in a secure manner that would prevent further processing, unauthorized access, or disclosure to any other party.
Website Analytics

PIDS also uses Webalizer Statistics and Google Analytics, which are third-party services, to analyze the web traffic data for us. It gathers non-personal information from the browser whenever the site is visited. These are reported as aggregated data that in no way will identify an individual. Only non-identifiable web traffic data are analyzed, including:.

  • Your IP address
  • The search terms you used
  • The pages and internal links accessed on our site
  • The date and time you visited the site
  • Geolocation
  • The referring site or platform (if any) through which you clicked through to this site
  • Your operating system
  • Web browser type
Use of Cookies

The website itself does not maintain cookies and neither does it access third party cookies from website analytics, which has its own privacy guidelines. Data generated is not shared with any other party.
