Cash remittances are the total value of private income transfers sent back by our OFs. These remittances bestow macroeconomic benefits to the country’s economy whenever majority of OFs send part of their earnings back home in the form of cash or goods to support their families

REMARKS

There are some limitations on the remittance data by source. A common practice of remittance centers in various cities abroad is to course remittances through correspondent banks mostly located in the U.S. On the other hand OTHERS - Total amount of remittances of overseas Filipinos (OFs) from countries not elsewhere classified.
